Baptiste Planat has a master’s degree in Banking and Finance from University Pantheon-Sorbonne in Paris. He started his career in corporate finance in the banking industry before working in the development of drugs and medical devices in the CNS field for the last 10 years.

Georg Dorffner, ProfHead of Clinical Trials

Georg holds a PhD in Computer Science, as well as a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and is associate professor at Medical University of Vienna. He was the founding CEO of The Siesta Group, leading the company until 2014. Since then, he has continued to serve the company as Head of Clinical Trials.

Peter Anderer, ProfChief Scientific Officer

Peter holds a PhD in Technical Science and was Professor of Biomedical Engineering at Medical University of Vienna until 2019. Since 2003 he is CSO at The Siesta Group and until 2023 he was Senior Scientific Manager at Philips Sleep / Respiratory Care. His main fields of research are biometrics in sleep and pharmaco-EEG studies. He has co-authored over 200 scientific publications and has been the leading scientist in the development of the Somnolyzer PSG autoscoring solution.

Silvia Parapatics, PhDHead of Science Operations

Our Lead Project Manager Silvia excels at her extensive clinical trials and scoring experience. She has been with The Siesta Group for 17 years, has 10+ years of study project management experience, has performed over 10.000 central scorings, and has spent 10+ years in a sleep lab. Her deep scientific foundation in neuropsychology Silvia obtained by holding PhD degrees in Psychology and Applied Medical Science.

Michael Lagler, PhDHead of RnD

Leading a team of data scientists, AI software engineers and web developer, Michael connects scientific observations with clinical innovations. He holds a PhD in Neuroscience and has been a postdoctoral research fellow at Medical University of Vienna in collaboration with Cold Spring Harbor Laboratories and University of Oxford. His research focuses on deep-learning-based classification models for the identification of disease states in various neuro-pathophysiologies.

Véronique has a solid foundation in both legal and business realms, with an extensive and diverse international management background that spans across multiple industries including the IT sector. Her professional journey has encompassed various domains, culminating in a deep expertise in financial management.
